March 11, 2008
Dear Norman Pringle,
This letter is official notice of your induction into the Victoria
Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame Class Of 2008. Two hundred Victoria
musicians listed on the Royal City Music Project's website were
asked to vote for the 2008 inductees into the Hall of Fame and you
were selected as the Class Of 2008's Most Influential Broadcaster
1956-1965.
This year's celebration will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008
at the Upstairs Lounge (formerly Harpo's) located at the foot of
Bastion Square. Doors will open at 11:30am with the ceremonies
getting underway at 1:00pm. The Victoria Rock & Roll Music Hall of
Fame opened in 2003 to pay tribute to Victoria musicians in all
genres who have made a local, national and/or international impact
in the art of music. 2008 is the fourth year of this celebration
and although the Hall of Fame starts from humble beginnings, its
effect on local music has been overwhelming as it inspires another
generation while recognizing your contributions to Canadian music
and culture.
Congratulations on your induction to Victoria's Rock & Roll, Music
Hall of Fame.
Yours truly,
Glenn Parfitt
