LEST WE FORGET
THE MEMORIAL GARDEN PROJECT

At the official end of the Iraq war, there were 132 young Americans who gave their lives so Iraq may enjoy the freedoms we enjoy in the USA. Sadly the list grows. Since that time the number has increased to over 2,400. I am leading a tribute to those young Americans who have given the supreme sacrifice. I wish to create a Memorial Tree and Garden similar to the beautiful creation at the J PAUL GETTY MUSUEM in Los Angeles.
I have proposed two sites Balboa Lake, near the Woodley Lakes City owned Golf Course in the Sepulvada Basin Los Angeles County, and at the 2,000 acre Ahmanson Ranch in Ventura County, owned by the state of California.

I now have over $1500 in a trust fund held at:

THE FIRST ENTERTAINMENT CREDIT UNION
6735 FOREST LAWN DRIVE
HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA  91306

I hope you share my enthusiasm in this respectful and worthwhile tribute. Recently, the new governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger gave his blessing to the project stating, "Your project is truly noteworthy and a gracious tribute for those given their lives protect their loved ones and the freedoms that we all enjoy in the United States, especially the freedom to go about our daily activities without fear of terrorist motivated devastation." The Governor has suggested that for expert tree advice and to be Environmentally correct that John Melvin, Regional Field Specialist of the California Department of Forestry be consulted. John replied and says the project is "fantastic" and "will do whatever he can to make the MEMORIAL TREE AND GARDEN  come to fruition"
